Lucas Mayr

I have a Msc. degree in Computer Security and am currently working as a cybersecurity architect at ON-RCPN and as a researcher at the Computer Security Lab of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. I research classical and post-quantum digital signature schemes, covert communication mechanisms and manage the ON-RCPN PKI infrastructure.

Publications & Patents

I have been working with public key infrastructure and post-quantum cryptography since the beginning of my undergraduate in 2017; from hash-based signature schemes for my undergraduate thesis to designing a novel key management model for the signing of digital documents as my masters thesis.

Professional experience

I work as the cybersecurity architect at Operador Nacional do Registro Civil de Pessoas Naturais do Brasil (ONRCPN), the agency responsible for the technological advancements of the Brazilian Civil Registry. Moreover, I research topics related to cryptography and public key infrastructure and work as a freelance in these subjects.

Academic activities

Other activities I am/was involved with in regards to Computer Science.

Humanitarian Work

I and am involved in humanitarian projects in Africa related to electronic documents and digital signatures (under construction).

With respects to other domains of computer science, I am always eager to learn about constraint programming, optimization techniques, physics computer simulations, and quantum computing. Ouside the realm of computer science, I enjoy tabletop RPG (scheduling issues notwhistanding), historical and fantasy fiction, and some Dwarf Fortress shenanigans. Strike the earth!
